The two-seater AMG GT coupe of the first and only generation so far has been leading its history since the fall of 2014, it was then that the premiere of the model with the factory index C190 took place at the Paris Motor Show. This is the second vehicle entirely developed by AMG, the first being the SLS AMG coupe (2010-2014) with gullwing doors, which was succeeded by the AMG GT. During its assembly line life, the sports car has received many modifications and several updates, the last of which happened in 2019. Now, a completely new car is being prepared for the premiere, which has already been repeatedly seen by photo spies during tests.

The most noticeable change in appearance will be the proportions. The current AMG GT stands out with its very long hood and rearward-facing interior, while the new model will get a more casual look in the style of other models of the brand. There are also many similarities with the new SL roadster .which premiered last fall. The AMG GT will get a large, low-profile grille with vertical bars and headlights that echo the shape of the current generation of the sports car. The shape of the side glazing is also very similar, while the shape of the sidewalls will become a little simpler, including due to retractable door handles – the aforementioned SL and the new flagship S-Class also have these. Behind special revelations are not expected, the novelty will receive narrow lights, a license plate niche located on the bumper and a pair of twin exhaust pipes.

The premiere of the new sports car is expected in the coming months.
