Updated 2023 Audi Q8: first images

At the beginning of this week, the first photos of test samples of a restyled crossover were published on the Web, in which all the main changes in the appearance of the model are already visible.

The Q8 sports crossover of the first and only generation so far was first introduced in the summer of 2018. It became the serial version of two concepts of the same name, shown a year earlier. The flagship SUV has been on the assembly line for more than four years, which means that the time has come for a planned restyling. A few days ago, camouflaged prototypes were spotted by photo spies, so we have the opportunity to get an idea of what the new product will look like.

The most noticeable changes are expected at the front, where a new radiator grille will appear: it will retain its shape, but will receive a new filling in the form of U-shaped elements. The headlights will also not visually change in shape, however, their filling will be completely new with the original LED daytime running light graphics. The front bumper will also be updated, which will receive triangular air ducts along the edges. On the side, no significant changes are expected, but as for the rear, new, flatter lights will appear here. They will retain their shape and LED strip across the full width of the trunk lid, while accommodating new polygonal elements at the bottom instead of the row of vertical segments of the current model.

The Audi Q8 is built on a second-generation MLB modular platform with a double wishbone front suspension and a multi-link rear, also used by the Volkswagen Touareg , Porsche Cayenne and Lamborghini Urus crossovers . While there is no reliable information about changes in the technical part, most likely, the updated model will get the engine range from the current SUV. In Russia, the Q8 was offered in two versions – 45 TDI with a 3-liter 249-horsepower diesel engine and 55 TFSI petrol (340 hp).
The premiere of new items is expected during this year.
