The compact SUV was also corrected in appearance, and a scoreboard appeared in the cabin. In addition, the list of available equipment has been expanded.
In Korea , the updated Kia Seltos debuted last summer, only there they still sell such a crossover. However, very soon the refreshed SUV will appear in other countries. So, in Australia, orders have already been opened – with prices and trim levels, but without pictures of the local version (now a Korean left-hand drive cross is “hanging” on the Australian site). And at the Los Angeles Auto Show, which opens on November 17 (local time, that is, it will already be the 18th in the Russian Federation), the American version will debut : this Seltos is highlighted on teasers.

Apparently, the design will be the same for all modifications, except that the “American” has a slightly different insert on the new front bumper. After restyling, Kia Seltos also found a different grille and taillights. The latter, by the way, are now united by a functional plate. The headlights have the same shape, but the filling has been replaced, plus LED strokes of navigation lights have been added, which are visually combined with the same luminous stripes on the grille.
Due to the new body kit, the length of the Korean Seltos has grown by 15 mm to 4390 mm. The Australian SUV has a similar increase, but the length of this cross is 4385 mm. The indicator of the pre-reform American SUV is 4370 mm. The wheelbase of the listed versions is the same, it has not changed (2630 mm).

The interior of the “American” and “Australian” will most likely be decorated in the same way as that of the “Korean”. That is, a new front panel and a different climate control unit will be installed inside, a washer should appear instead of the traditional gearbox lever. Expensive versions will get a giant scoreboard – a combined virtual “tidy” and a touchscreen of a multimedia system (each screen is 10.25 inches in diagonal; “in the base” are analog scales and multimedia with an 8-inch display). Note that the Indian-made Kia Seltos initially has a single body, but the devices of such a pre-reform cross are analog, and besides, they are “recessed” (the premiere of the restyled Seltos for India is yet to come). Among the new options for the Korean and Australian SUVs is the “memory” of the driver’s seat settings (apparently, the “American” will also receive it).
In Korea, the updated Seltos acquired a 2.0 MPI aspirated gasoline (149 hp and 180 Nm), but in Australia and the USA, the cross has had such a motor since the start of sales (the Australian version has a return, as in Korea, the “American” has – 148 hp and 179 Nm). This engine is still combined with a CVT. “Turbo” 1.6 T-GDI in the Korean and Australian versions has become more powerful: 198 hp against the previous 177 hp (torque has not changed – 265 Nm); in addition, the turbo engine is now equipped with a classic eight-speed “automatic” (there was a seven-speed robotic box with two clutches). Probably, for the American Seltos, the output of 1.6 T-GDI will also be increased (on a pre-reform SUV, this engine produces 178 hp), and it will also be equipped with 8AKP instead of 7DCT. In all three countries listed, the SUV comes with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
In Australia, a restyled Kia Seltos today costs about 19,900 US dollars (excluding delivery), in the homeland of the brand, the price of a cross starts at $ 15,900. In the States, a pre-reform SUV will cost at least $22,890 (excluding taxes and shipping).
