The compact crossover C-HR (stands for Compact High Rider) of the first and only generation so far dates back to 2014, it was then that the premiere of the concept of the same name took place at the Paris Motor Show.Β The serialΒ versionΒ was presented in March 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show.Β Three years later, the car receivedΒ a planned restylingΒ , and now it’s time for a generational change.Β What will the new crossover look like?

In addition to spy photos, patent images of a new model of the Japanese brand appeared on the Web earlier, which is almost completely similar to a camouflaged crossover, judging by the few visible details.Β The novelty will receive an even brighter and more original appearance than the current C-HR.Β The design will be made in the style of the latest innovations and concepts of the company: narrow C-shaped headlights will appear at the front, a wide grille at the bottom of the bumper and a massive black insert around it.Β As on the current SUV, the roof will be made contrast (at least as an option), and the windows in the rear side doors will remain just as small.Β Among the new stylistic solutions for the model is a two-tone body design with a contrasting rear end.Β The most striking element of the stern will be strongly stretched horizontal lights.

The car will be the production version of the C-HR Prologue conceptΒ showcased last month.Β The main difference from it is the design of the front and rear bumpers, headlights and lamps, side mirrors and rear door handles, which in the serial crossover will be retractable in full accordance with the front ones.Β It is expected that the novelty will be built on the new Toyota E3 platform, created for electric and hybrid cars, and combines elements of the GA-C platforms (the new Corolla and the current C-HR are made on it) and e-TGNA (used by the bZ4X electric car).
The premiere of the crossover will take place this year.
