The five-door fastback Panamera was first introduced in 2009 at the Shanghai Motor Show. The car was named after the Carrera Panamericana races, where the German company performed successfully in the 50s of the last century. Today, the second generation of the model is on the assembly line; its premiere took place in the summer of 2016 at a special event in Berlin. Four years later, the fastback received a restyling , but now the German company is testing samples of the new model.

In the available spy photos, the novelty is very similar to the current Panamera, in general, it still looks more like a deep restyling. Already clearly visible are the new headlights with a more angular shape, which will receive four branded horizontal strokes of LED dimensions. The hood will receive more noticeable longitudinal vyshtampovki passing to the front bumper, the bumper itself will receive larger air intakes and a pair of narrow LED strips on each side, acting as both dimensions and direction indicators. From the side, no significant changes are yet visible, except that the air ducts in the front fenders can be updated. As for the rear, there will be narrow taillights stretching across the entire width of the body in the style of the Taycan model. In addition, the car presented in the renders has original rims with a central lock.

There is no reliable information about the technical features of the future novelty yet. The current Panamera is built on the Volkswagen MSB platform, which is also used by the third-generation Bentley Continental GT and the third-generation Flying Spur. Fastback is equipped with a wide range of V6 and V8 petrol engines. The most powerful modification of the Turbo S E-Hybrid is equipped with a 700-horsepower power plant (870 Nm), consisting of a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine and an electric motor integrated into an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
The premiere of new items is expected next year.
