The compact SUV 3008 appeared in the range of the French company in 2008, it was then that the premiere of the first generation of the model took place at the Paris Motor Show. Today, the second generation is rolling off the assembly line, which was also first demonstrated in Paris in 2016. In 2020, the crossover received a restyling , and in the same year, the first rumors appeared that the future generation would receive a coupe-like modification. Thanks to the available spy photos, we can say that these rumors are confirmed.

The novelty will be made in the style of other new models of the brand. While the body of the test samples is hidden under a thick layer of camouflage, however, narrow horizontal headlights with “fangs” of LED running lights are already visible. The most noticeable difference from the current 3008 will be the shape of the body with heavily littered rear pillars, which can be called a liftback. The Peugeot 408 presented last summer received a similar body . As for the rear, here we can note a massive trunk lid, narrow horizontal lights with angled LED “strokes” of dimensions, and a license plate niche located on the bumper.

While there is no reliable information about the technical part of the future SUV, however, it is expected that he will receive gasoline, hybrid and all-electric modifications. Most likely, it will be built on one of the versions of the EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform) platform, which is used by many new Citroen, Peugeot and Opel (for example, the new Astra ).

The premiere of the new 3008 is not expected until next year.
