The German company continues to test an updated version of its popular crossover, and last month fresh spy photos of the model were published on the Web, showing some of the features of the future novelty. X6 has been leading its history since 2007, it was then that the premiere of the concept of the same name took place in Frankfurt, and the following year they showed the serial version of the crossover with the E71 index, which can be considered the ancestor of a whole class of so-called premium cross-coupes. Today, the assembly line is already the third generation of the X-sixth with the factory index G06, which premiered in the summer of 2019. This year, the model is three years old, which means that the time is right for a planned restyling.
Test samples of the restyled version have already fallen into the lens of photo spies several times, and the latest shots show some of the details of the exterior. In particular, a completely new front bumper is clearly visible, which will receive narrow vertical inserts along the edges and a wider air intake at the bottom. Another significant difference from the current X6 is noticeably narrower headlights with a faceted shape of LED daytime running lights. The front fenders, grille nostrils, and hood are likely to remain unchanged. As for the rear, the spy photos don’t show any changes to the current crossover yet. We can assume that it will receive an updated graphics of LED lights while maintaining the shape of the lights – we have depicted a variant made in the stylenew flagship crossover BMW XM . Also on powerful modifications, new twin exhaust pipes may appear.
Restyling will also affect the interior, there will be a pair of combined multimedia screens, like other latest innovations from the company. There may also be a new gearbox shift selector. As for the technical part, here the most interesting novelty may be the X6 M60i model, which will be one step lower than the top modification X6 M. It will receive a S68 4.4 V8 biturbo engine with a capacity of 530 hp, similar to the most powerful modification of the X7 crossover updated last spring.
