The production sedan will retain the proportions of the concept, while it will receive differently designed front optics with a horizontal LED strip across the entire width of the front end and a differently designed front bumper. At the rear, the production model is distinguished by taillights with an original pattern of LED running lights and a bumper design with a massive contrast trim at the bottom.
The ID.7 will be built on the modular MEB platform (more precisely, on its MEB + version, which allowed for an increase in range and faster charging of the traction battery). The power reserve on one charge will be about 700 km on the WLTP cycle. Other technical specifications have not yet been made public, but it is assumed that the car will be presented with both one electric motor and two. But the wheelbase is already known, which will be 2969 mm (for comparison, the distance between the axles of the current generation Passat is 2791 mm).
